We absolutely love our new Tern!! Last night, I surprised my husband by making ice cream for dessert. I’ve been getting more creative… And healthy. I made maple vanilla for myself with only 1/3 cup cream, and one full cup 1% milk. Next time I will try it just with the milk. and then I want to try with yogurt. For my husband, I made vanilla honey bourbon with the bourbon honey that we have.

One of the best Chrsitmas presents for the family! We have tried at least four different flavors and all are lucious.

I hardly ever buy kitchen gadgets - but I encountered the swirling video of Tern on Pinterest and I couldn't stop thinking about it. I pulled the trigger, and I am excited to report: puchasing Tern was one of the best decisions I've made recently!

I brought the machine to a long weekend trip with a big group of friends, and the ice cream we made was a big hit amongst adults and toddlers alike. Even the dairy free, nut free coconut ice cream (which I was nervous about) came out extremely creamy and delicious! The recipe I found online said it will become icy if freezed after churning, but that did not happen with our batch made in Tern.

I almost wish I had a disappointing experience with conventional home ice cream machines so I can fully appreciate the difference Term makes in the quality of the outcome. But as far as we can tell, the quality of ice cream was certainly on par with the revered Van Leeuwen's.

If you're on the fence, I highly recommend giving it a try!

Tonight I used my Tern for the first time and made amazingly creamy ice cream with coconut cream, oatmilk, and strawberry jam. It was divine! There might be a slight learning curve but after watching a video once on how best to position the paddle, it was easy and I made my ice cream in about 5 minutes! I stumbled across your product before Christmas and decided that I would ask for one from my Mom as a present idea for my husband, me, and our toddler. Even my skeptical husband is excited to try new flavors now that he watched me make it so easily! Tern is phenomenal! Especially as someone who can’t enjoy dairy products any longer and the vegan ice cream prices are wild! Thank you to whomever dreamt this up!

It is so easy to make, I can even do it during the commercials while watching my fav movie. I haven't bought ice cream since I've had it. My nieces love coming over to make ice cream. and you only need a few ingredients. during the summer I made it 2 times a week!! I feel like i get all the treat, without all the processed stuff that comes in store bought.

I did make a few messes before I learned how to do it properly, but it was a quick learning.

I purchased three Terns...one for my son and his family, one for my daughter and her family and one for my wife and I. ONE OF THE BEST PURCHASES I HAVE EVER MADE. It is so quick an easy to make a batch of some of the smoothest, most flavorful ice cream I have ever had. The process takes about 15 minutes (including prep time) and the small batches makes it very convenient for a quick snack for two...maybe even three or four (depending on how much you eat). The biggest challenge is learning how to use the paddle, but it is a short learning curve and once you've got it, it is a breeze...or should I say freeze. Normally we eat it right after we make it, but we tried putting a couple of batches in the freezer....and the quality was just as good. If you like ice cream and want it fast ( versus the hand/power cranking with ice and salt), this is it. Better than store bought by far.

I was skeptical, but WOW this does exactly what is says and it's fantastic.
Smaller ice crystals mean really creamy ice cream/ gelato.
I use alternative milks- coconut etc and it's honestly a miracle worker.
Better than the pro compressor machine I had before.

I received the Tern through crowdfunding in which there was an issue with the motor. But, customer service immediately sent a small package to correct the problem. The problem was resolved from those crowdfunded machines and is not longer an issue with the current online store. Awesome! The Tern is one of our favorite small appliances and works like a charm. It's small enough to fit in a bag and bring to Grandpa's house. Everyone loves the taste of homemade ice cream and the Tern does not disappoint. The texture is velvety smooth and creamy, no big ice crystals. It takes a little effort to find the right way to hold the paddle, but it's easy to make and the kids love to help. With the two bowls, it's the perfect amount for family get togethers. We love basic vanilla and everyone stirs in their own favorite toppings. Love it!

Love my Tern Ice Cream Maker that I purchased on Kickstarter. It makes the smoothest, creamiest, richest tasting premium ice cream I’ve ever had. It freezes faster than other ice cream makers I’ve used, and I like that it makes about 2 servings at a time. The recipes in the user guide come out great, as long as you remember to freeze the bowl and chill the mix overnight. It takes a few tries to get the technique of using the paddle down, but after 2 or 3 batches, you’ll be a pro.

I have tried many different ice cream machines, the old fashioned style ice and salt machines, the freezer bowl style from Cuisinart and Kitchen Aid. All fall short compared to the Tern. While the bowl only yields a small batch, the consistency and quality of the ice cream is far superior. Other makers can never get the mixture to a level stiffer than melty soft serve, requiring time in the freezer prior to serving. The Tern provides additional fun and the chance hone your artisan skill while preparing a creamy treat that is firm and ready to serve proudly due to its appearance, taste, and texture. Time is also a factor for me and this machine consistently completed its first batch in less that 5 min, a quarter of the time compared to my Kitchen Aid. If I am quick about it I can get a second batch out of the same bowl before needing to drop it back in the freezer for another day.
